The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for severe thunderstorms tomorrow July 9th and Friday July 10th.

We will see scattered thunderstorms each afternoon and evening through Sunday. Storms on Thursday night into Friday and again Friday afternoon will have the potential to become strong to severe. Any thunderstorm will also produce heavy rain and localized flooding.

A Flood Watch goes into effect at 1PM Thursday for a wet next few days. Up to 3-4 inches of additional rain are in the forecast. Many areas have already received 2-3 inches in the last few days so soils are saturated and the flash flooding risk will increase.
